Covid-19 and Camping

Physical distancing is built-in to camping experiences making it among the safer covid activities you can enjoy this summer.

We will be following the lead of Parks Canada and Ontario parks. The following guidelines adapted from Prince Edward Island's public health department are also especially useful.

Campground Booking / Reservation / Registration

  • Online reservation bookings and payments only

  • All Quartermaster orders must be placed online. Items will be delivered directly to your tent.

  • Only members of the same household should stay together on a campsite

  • Campers experiencing COVD-19 symptoms should not enter the campground

Campground Employees and Campers

  • Stay informed, be prepared and follow public health advice.

  • Staff will be aware of and self-monitor for signs and symptoms of COVID-19 and will stay home when ill.

  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds; if not available, use a hand sanitizer that contains 60% - 80% alcohol.

  • Don’t touch your face with unwashed hands.

  • Cough or sneeze into a tissue or your sleeve, and wash your hands directly after.

  • Vulnerable individuals should exercise caution and minimize high-risk exposures.

  • Campers from different households/campsites will be required to maintain physical distancing at all times.

  • All staff will be trained to observe COVID-19 safety protocols.

  • Campers who ignore or refuse requests to comply may be asked to leave without refund.

  • As all of our activities take place in outdoor spaces, masks are not required.

General Operations

  • The campground will host a maximum of 10 tents + 1 bunkie and 40 guests at a time.

  • Soap is available in the comfort station.

  • Washrooms / showers will be cleaned at a minimum three (3) times during daylight hours.

  • Each site will have access to its own barbecue for exclusive use at that site.

  • Common or shared surfaces will be disinfected using a bleach and/or germicide and/or viracide product on the approved hard surface disinfectant list by Health Canada (https://www.canada.ca/en/health-canada/services/drugs-health-products/disinfectants/covid-19/list.html)
