ABOUT US

Four Corners Algonquin creates enjoyable camping experiences for people across all ages and stages of life.

Four Corners Algonquin offers glamping, camping and tiny house accommodations on 90 acres deep in the Canadian Shield, just four kilometers outside Algonquin Park’s East Gate, in Whitney, Ontario.

Indulge yourself in a comfortable camping trip without all the heavy lifting. Our 90-acre, off-grid, dark-sky-friendly and accessible campground on Hwy 60 in Whitney at the edge of Algonquin Park’s east gate features fully erected and weather-tight safari tents, pole tents, bell tents, and tiny homes ideal for self-reliant travelers, those seeking an authentic but more comfortable camping experience, or just a dry place to stay fuss-free before or after a backcountry expedition. Looking for a more unusual place to stay? Gaze at the stars all night long in one of our brand new, bug/pollen free, transparent Bubble Tents! Enjoy the mesmerizing dance of campfire flames and breathtaking views of the milky way in our low light-pollution wilderness facility.

Our mission is to remove as many barriers as possible to help as many people as possible reconnect with the great outdoors. Whether it’s a tight budget, lack of equipment, minimal to zero camping experience, accessibility concerns or apprehension about camping, we provide options for everyone.

MEET THE OWNERS

Are you interested in unplugging from the world? Relaxing and exploring the great outdoors? You’ve come to the right place.

Four Corners Algonquin began with our own desire to experience living a simpler and more independent life in a place with a lot of personal meaning for us. We wanted to invest in a community our family has been a part of for a very long time, and champion how much remote and rural living has to offer in terms of lifestyle, culture, outdoor sport and personal wellbeing.

Owned and operated by Angela and John Pollak since 2018, Four Corners Algonquin is the beginning of a dream 20 years in the making. The property is part of the homestead of Angela’s grandparents, set up in the 1920s when they married and settled down in the village of Whitney. Angela and John purchased the land in 1998 with vague dreams that someday they would start a business. Since Four Corners has opened they have hosted guests from as far away as Europe, Asia, Africa, and South America.

Now, we’d love to meet you! Explore our tents, choose your creature comforts and let us host your own experience enjoying all that the wilderness has to offer.
